How to Easily Build Rapport Applying 3 Powerful NLP Techniques… By Dr. Steve G. Jones Certified NLP Trainer
Building Rapport is the fastest way to influence anyone to get to know, like, and trust you quickly. (Learn These Techniques & More for only $10.) Today I want to share 3 Fundamental NLP Techniques, called Mirroring, Pacing and Leading, that you can start using today to: • Build Rapport and Trust Fast • Ethically Persuade people to do what You want (for their own good) • Take Control of Difficult situations, just to name a few Let’s Dive a little deeper.
Mirroring: Mirroring is used as a way to build rapport by copying the way someone speaks, or uses hand gestures, for example. It’s very fun and simple to do. Let’s say you are having lunch with someone at Starbucks and notice they speak with their hands. Subtly start making hand gestures that mimic theirs. This subliminally builds rapport and trust while leading you into the next technique, called Pacing. Pacing: Now that you’ve started mirroring their gestures, you want to match their breathing or speaking pattern. If they speak slow, start slowing your own speech down… If they are High Energy, Increase your own energy to keep up with their pace…
(Master these Techniques & More Here) Now that you have started to build rapport at a ‘conscious’ level, let’s test with absolute certainty if they will follow your lead without even knowing it. 3. Lead: Now that you are ‘subtly’ mirroring their gestures, and pacing your own speech with theirs, now it’s time for them to follow your lead. To Test this out, try sitting straight up in your chair, or cross your legs, or even touch your nose and you’ll notice the person will soon follow if they are comfortable with you. This is a very subtle, yet powerful rapport-building tactic, and results can be experienced very quickly when followed correctly.
