The NCJLA Boys U15B Flighted Tournament will be held on multiple fields in Danville, CA, rain or shine but games are subject to postponement or cancellation if there is lightning present (safety first). All teams need to check in at the NCJLA table located at Diablo Vista Middle School 1 hour prior to game time. This is a mandatory check in.
NO DOGS ALLOWED California Civ. Code 54.2 requires service dogs to have visibly present, county-issued tags. If your service animal doesn’t have tags, it isn’t allowed at the tournament. No exceptions! Please communicate to your parents that they will be asked to leave if they have a dog. FORMAT: Teams are playing in a flighted tournament based on winning percentage. The winner moves on to next round. Losing teams will play a consolation game; so all teams are guaranteed at least two games. Games are based on the following format: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
Two 20 Minute Halves - Running Clock 5 minute halftime One 1 minute timeout per half, per team (clock stops) Clock stops for injuries. Each field keeps own time (timer at the table) Overtime. If required teams will have a 2 minute break followed by one 4 minute sudden victory OT period. If the game is still tied, selected players will take a one minute break and then a Brave Heart will commence. Brave Heart Rules • Each team fields a goalie and a field player. • Officials may inspect field crosses before the tiebreaker begins; no coach-requested checks. • Teams defend the same goal they defended in the second half. • Teams must use the goalies on the field at the end of regulation. • The field players face off at center. • Goalies must be behind their restraining lines during the faceoff. • The goalies may not cross midfield. • The first team to score a goal wins. • There are no timeouts or substitutions permitted except in the case of injury (in which case the opponent may also substitute a player). • If a team commits what would normally be a timeserving penalty during the tiebreaker, play is restarted with the offending player in his defensive half of the field (for a technical foul) or in his defensive restraining area
(for a personal foul) and the offended team’s field player in possession just outside the attack area. • All other standard rules apply, including counts. 7. All scores must be reported to the NCJLA Table by the winning coach immediately following the game. Scores may be texted to Nora Mitchell at 415-418-8369. Be sure to include team names, game time, and scores from both teams.
NCJLA will supply: The NCJLA will have a table, two chairs and a tote bag at the field with all table items: timers, horn, score placard, score sheets and pens/pencils. Every team needs to bring: • Printed team roster that matches what’s on the NCJLA website. • Balls - Each team should bring 5 balls to be used for each game.
