[email protected] Please include a copy of your team insurance form with your registration Format: To be determined by the number of teams. If the number of teams is 6 or less, it will be double elimination. If we have 7 or more teams it will be Pool Play. If the format is Pool play, the top two team from each pool advance to the semi-finals. Regardless of the format there will be a 3 game minimum. Your place in pool play will be determined as follows. This also applies to tie breakers. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
Win percentage Head to Head Least Runs Allowed Run differential (maximum of +-8) Coin flip
Please note that in the case of a three way tie, tie breakers WILL NOT be applied at the same time to determine 1st and 2nd place. Also, once a tie breaker has been passed over, we will not go back up to use it again. (i.e. 3 teams tied at 2-1 after pool play. Win percentage will be skipped, head to head will be skipped and least runs allowed will be used. If a tie still exists, then the next to be used will be run diff)
Rules: All games will be 1 hour and 40 minutes or 6 innings in length (8U-12U) or 7 innings for 13U and 14U and if a game is tied, California Tie Break is in effect. There is no time limit for the championship game. Coin flip will determine the home team in all pool games and the highest seed will be awarded the home team during bracket play. Two umpires will be used for all games. USSSA tournament pitching rules will apply, will be tracked and available for public viewing during the tournament. Pitching cards will be handed out prior to the game to both teams. At the conclusion of the game, managers must sign BOTH cards verifying both the number of innings pitched by the opposing team’s pitchers and the correct score of the game. Once cards are turned in signed by both managers, the record is official. USSSA baseball rules will apply and if not specifically addressed otherwise, the game will be governed according to the Rules of Baseball, Sporting News Edition. Any protests must be made to the tournament director at the time of the dispute. The decision of the tournament director will be final. Judgment calls by the umpires cannot be disputed. If a dispute or protest is made, the disputing coach must have an USSSA rule book or the Rules of Baseball, Sporting News Edition to make said dispute. Once the game is final, the game will be official. 2016 BAT RULES WILL APPLY Inclement Weather: Coaches acknowledge that games may be rescheduled due to inclement weather. Games moved back because of rain, will be kept in the same order, but the times will obviously be different. Every effort will be made to play the entire schedule of tournament games between 12:30 PM on Friday and 7 PM on Sunday. In the case of extremely poor weather conditions, the tournament director reserves the right to change the format and thus the tournament may not be a double elimination tournament. The tournament will become official after each team has played at least two games. If the champion cannot be determined on the field, the champion and runner up will be determined first by winning percentage, head to head, then fewest runs allowed, then most runs scored, then fewest walks allowed, then most hits. Refund policy: No games played. $375 refund. 1 game played. $205 refund 2 games played no refund 3 games played, no refund. Sportsmanship: Due to the nature of this tournament, good sportsmanship will be expected. Coaches, players and spectators may be ejected from the ballpark by the umpires or at the discretion of the tournament director. Coaches are responsible for the conduct of themselves, their players and their parents/fans. Please help us make this an enjoyable experience for all involved. If the players or spectators get out of line, we will expect the coaches to help correct the problem. Thank you for participating in this year’s tournament, we know you have many options when it comes to tournaments to participate in and we do our best to make this an experience you will enjoy. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Tim Legband –
