The five girls chosen represent the best in demonstrating sportsmanship, friendship and fair play. Throughout the season coaches and managers are asked to nominate girls they feel meet the highest standards of sportsmanship, friendship and fair play. When a coach or manager sees a girl demonstrating these qualities, they are asked to complete the following form and submit it to the Vice President, Butch Coyne, At the end of the season the BHGS Board of Trustees will review the nominations and will select one girl from each division to receive the award. The girls selected will be recognized during the BHGS closing ceremonies. The recipients of this award will be listed on a plaque, which will be displayed in the BHGS snack shack and they will each receive a $25 Shopping Gift Certificate. The award is dedicated to Emily Coyne who played Branham Hills Girls Softball for several years and who in spite of battling cancer always played with spirit, determination and friendship.
