JUNE 20 – JULY 1 Calling All Princesses and Superheroes Being a princess or superhero is not just make-believe. We encounter real life superheroes everyday – fire fighters, police officers, soldiers, etc. True princesses are around us all the time – showing exceptional caring to others. Come learn how our friends, family and neighbors help us all the time in super, “magical” ways. On the second Friday of this session campers are encouraged to come to camp dressed as their favorite princess or superhero, real or make-believe!
JULY 5 – 8 Happy Birthday, USA! (closed Monday, July 4) Come celebrate the cultures of the world with us as we learn about the various backgrounds of our Norbeck family. Let’s see how everyone is different in their own unique way yet we can all be friends! Children are encouraged to bring in items that showcase their own heritage so we can learn from each other!
JULY 11 – 22 Come Read with Me! During week 1 we will join The Very Hungry Caterpillar as we munch our way through books by Eric Carle. Story time, art projects, etc. will be based on this famous author and his amazing stories! During week 2 we will have fun with Dr. Seuss. You never know, Thing One and Thing Two just might come along and join the kids for some summertime fun!
JULY 22 – AUGUST 5 Norbeck’s Art Gallery We encourage campers to sign up for both weeks of this session. We will learn about famous artists and various techniques used to create different types of art. The children will work on lots of projects that will then be displayed during Norbeck’s very own art show on the final Friday of this session. We promise to amaze you!
AUGUST 8 – 12 Under the Sea Did you know that fish can breathe under water? Do you know how an octopus protects itself? Swim along in Norbeck’s School of Guppies and dive into a world of fun while we learn about life under the sea!!
AUGUST 15 – 18 Mess Week (4 days, full weekly rate applies) This session will emphasize that dirt doesn’t hurt! Children will wrap up the summer with 4 days that promise to be messy. Some activities will include play dough, sand box play, whipped cream eating contests, shaving cream battles and mud pie making. Children will wear their oldest clothes to create the biggest mess ever. Let’s get messy!!
Fees for Option A PLAN 1 Hours: 7 am - 6 pm, M-F Fee: $325.00 per week
PLAN 2 Hours: 8 am – 3:30 pm, M-F Fee: $275.00 per week Additional Child Care: $10.55/hr.
PLAN 3 Hours: 9 am – 12:00 pm, M-F Fee: $200.00 per week Additional Child Care: $10.55/hr. Children should be picked up between 12:00 and 12:15pm to go home for lunch.

SUMMER CAMP OPTION A:
Week to Week This option allows you to enroll in our traditional type summer camp program – tons of play time both indoors and out! The Montessori lessons are put away for the summer, however, we will incorporate basic skills on colors, numbers, sounds, manners, etc. Your initial deposit will be for one week and will pre-pay your final week of camp. Your deposit must accompany this application. Your application will not be processed without the required deposit. All other payments should be made for each week registered on the Monday of that week, beginning with the first week your child attends camp. **Although Norbeck is proud to offer the flexibility of a week to week enrollment option, please bear in mind the following: Some of our themes are grouped in 2 week units for planning purposes. Therefore, if you choose to sign up for just 1 week and not the other, your child may miss out on special activities, art projects, etc. We strongly recommend registering for a 2 week unit whenever possible so your child is here for ALL of the fun!!!!
SUMMER MONTESSORI OPTION B:
(children must be at least 3 years old and
potty trained by 6/1/2016 to participate in this option)
In order for your child to gain the most from this academic program, we require that the children enrolled in this option attend for a minimum of 8 of the 9 weeks. This ensures continuity in the classroom and gives the children an opportunity to be a cohesive group throughout the summer. If your summer plans include several weeks off from needing Norbeck, then Option A may be a better fit for you and your family! Option B gives you the unique opportunity to enroll your child in a Montessori Educational program all summer long with traditional-type camp fun being incorporated throughout the day. If you’re a current Norbeck family and you want to continue the academics all year long, or you are new to Norbeck and want to see what Montessori has to offer, this is the program for you! You can apply for this program by submitting the application and checking Option B. Enrollment is on a firstcome, first-served basis. You will be notified of your acceptance into this program.
