North Central College Dr. Keeler Track & Field Meet Thursday, May 11th – Friday, May 12th, 2017 Meet Information (updated 3/22/17)

Welcome to North Central College! We are excited to host our annual Dr. Keeler Track & Field Meet! We have a few changes for this year’s meet; please take the time to review the meet information before registering for the meet. Good luck to you and your teams this weekend. College/University Athletes Coaches can only enter current collegiate athletes with your Direct Athletics team account. Athletes must be currently eligible for competition for their respective collegiate institution for the 2017 outdoor track & field season. If your athlete is not eligible OR is not representing your school, they are considered an “Exhibition” athlete. Enter verifiable marks from February 1st, 2017 to the 2017 entry deadline in the TFRRS system. Indoor Mile times will be converted to 1500m by meet management. “No mark” will be used if no mark is achieved. Only 9 collegiate athletes will advance to finals in field events. Entries must be entered via Direct Athletics. DO NOT EMAIL, CALL, OR FAX ENTRIES. Performance list is viewable until the deadline. It is encouraged to start the entry process early to see “who is competing” in the events. Exhibition Athletes If you are an athlete that is ineligible OR not representing a collegiate institution, you are considered an “Exhibition” athlete. Exhibition includes post-collegiate, club, redshirt/medical. Current high school age athletes are not eligible for participation (as per NCAA bylaws.) Priority will be given to current collegiate athletes for lanes, sections, and flights. Exhibition athletes will not advance to the finals in any events. Only the top 9 collegiate athletes will advance. Enter verifiable marks from February 1st, 2017 to the 2017 entry deadline in the TFRRS system. Entry Fees Fees are calculated on your FINAL roster on Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 @ 6:59pm (CST). Institutions/Exhibition are responsible for “no shows” or scratches after the deadline – NO REFUNDS. $30 per male athlete-$350 maximum for men’s team; $30 per female athlete-$350 maximum for women’s team Entry fees will be paid online, cash or institutional check (payable to North Central College). No personal checks.

   

Entry Deadline Entries are due Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 @ 6:59pm (CST). Late entries will not be accepted. Entries/changes will not be allowed on meet day. Updated contact (phone and email) information must be entered with your registration. Meet information/updates will be sent via email.

Packet Pick-up BW Stadium Ticket Booth – 1st floor Thursday hours: 10:00am-Noon & 4:30pm-7:00pm; Press Box (4th floor) – after 7:00pm Friday hours: 12:30pm-7:30pm; Press Box (4th floor) – after 7:30pm Time schedule & meet program will be available on each date of competition.

  

Weigh-in Thursday hours: 10:00am-Noon Friday hours: 12:30pm-3:00pm Impounded implements can be picked up immediately after competition concludes

    

Athletic Training & Inclement Weather BW Stadium – Athletic Training Room – 1st floor (north end) Hours of operation: 90 minutes prior to the first event until 30 minutes after the last event Please refer to the Visiting Team Information site for detailed information: http://northcentralcardinals.com/sports/2009/2/13/GEN_0213092758.aspx?tab=athletictraining Treatment letters and questions should be directed to Brittany James ([email protected]). Athletic Training will follow standard protocols for any inclement weather. If there is a weather delay, warm-up time and event start times will be determined by the NCC Staff (Athletic Training, Administration, and Meet Management). Updated information will be posted in the north hallway of BW Stadium, by the results wall.

 

Relay Cards Submit an updated relay card with the Clerk if your relay names are different from the original entry. Relay cards will be available with the Clerk.

  

Running events First, second, and final calls will be given for each running event. Athletes are responsible for checking in with clerk or athlete will be scratched. Athletes will check-in at the “start line” for each event (ie. 100m – check-in at the 100m start line, etc.)



Only 9 collegiate athletes will advance to finals

   

Results Results will be posted after each event on the 1st floor. Live results will be available (after each event) on our website (refer to the schedule page). Coaches should review event results - all results will be FINAL at the conclusion of the meet. Final results will be updated to TFRRS system at the conclusion of each competition date.

Practice Schedule for Visiting Teams Teams are permitted to practice during the designated times. Facilities will be limited to designated venues. Starting blocks, implements, jumping pits, throwing rings will not be available for use. Athletic Training services will not be available during designated practice times. Thursday: 2:30pm-5:30pm (track and infield only) Friday: Noon-3:00pm (track and infield only) Team Camps & Restrictions Team camps must be in the stands or Res-Rec Center/Carius Indoor Track (adjacent to parking deck). Athletes should refrain from throwing footballs, Frisbees, or objects on the infield. Teams are responsible for recovering their camp areas (i.e. implements, uniforms, garbage, etc.) Non-competitors and fans must remain in the stands. The infield is reserved for warm-up and check-in only. Extra traffic becomes a distraction and creates an unsafe environment for competitors and meet management. Please enforce this with your coaching staff, families, and athletes. No dogs/pets allowed. Electronic devices (ie. cell phone, headphones, pagers, etc.) are prohibited in competition venues (ie. infield, track, throwing areas, jump areas). Coaches/athletes will be prohibited from the inside of the Press Box area Unsportsmanlike behavior or failure to follow procedures by coaches or athletes will result in denial of future entries at North Central College.

  

Parking Van parking will be available in the front and back lot of Merner Fieldhouse and the streets. Bus parking will be available based on other campus events. Updated parking information will be sent via email.
