North Florida Softball Summer Exposure Camp
North Florida Softball Summer Exposure Camp Who: 9th graders and up What: College Exposure Camp When: July 9th, 2014, 10:00AM-2:00 PM Where: UNF Softball Fields (directions can be given) Price: $125.00 per participant (NO deposit—Spots will NOT be secured without entire payment) The Ospreys will be hosting a camp for players in 9th grade or older. The camp is open to the FIRST 30 participants we receive registration fees for. We will put together 2 teams of 15 players and play one 6 inning, instructional game coached by Head Coach Marcie Hickey and Assistant Coaches Ashley Iveson and Jackie Reese. After the game, infielders and outfielders will split into two groups for more individualized instruction. One group will do defense and hitting repetitions working with Head Coach Marcie Hickey, while the other group will have their overhand throwing speed clocked, home-to-first times clocked, home-tohome times clocked and a small segment of conditioning. After each group is done they will switch. This camp is designed to give the athlete a better perspective of what to expect when going into a college softball program, as well as, give the coaches more opportunity to see the players perform at their primary positions. The athlete needs to sign up by primary position and then secondary. We will make sure the athlete will play at the primary position first and if possible their secondary. All participants will bat!
