Notes First Meeting Amish Trip Spring 2017
Lori’s Country Cottage Amish Country Trip May 26-June 4, 2017 Preliminary Travel Itinerary Meet at Edmonton International Airport outside of Air Canada International check in and will travel to Toronto. We will clear customs in Toronto Depart Edmonton 9:30 am Arrive Toronto 3:15 pm Depart Toronto 4:50 pm Arrive Philadelphia 6:22 pm On arrival in Philadelphia we will get our luggage and our drivers and their navigators will go to pick up cars from rental agency and the others will wait at the terminal with the luggage. We will travel 80 minutes to Lancaster County. The Amish Experience • 3D movie presentation of “Jacob’s Choice • a guided tour of nine rooms of a carefully appointed Old Order Amish House • Amish Farmlands tour including, a bakery, quilt shop and visit an Aeroponic greenhouse • visit the Riehl’s home for a questions and answers with an Amish clergyman. Plain and Fancy Restaurant • traditional family-style Amish farm feast • Take some time to visit the gift shop. Sight and Sound Theatre • “Jonah” The Sight & Sound Theatre is the largest faith-based live theatre in the US and has been described as "Christian Broadway." Landis Valley Museum • Guided tour of the historic village Millers Smorgasbord • This award winning smorgasbord features mouth-watering American favorites as well as the Pennsylvania Dutch Heritage dishes

Dine in an Amish home • Sadie Lapp, invites us into her home and she will join us for a delicious dinner that she has prepared. • Following the meal, Sadie would like to tour us through her garden, and if time allows, entertain us with her harmonica. Longwood Gardens • Private tour of the gardens • Time to go back and visit the du Pont House, Pierces Woods and the Flower Garden
