November the cold weather has flown in from the North that is for sure. The hustle and bustle of the seasons sure is here now. This Newsletter will only be for this month as so much change is happening here in Cleveland and Hyderhangout as well. Last month there were many Quilt shows going on it made my head spin. I got to help out at the Mt. Olive Quilt show this year. There were many amazingly beautiful quilts this year. If you didn’t make it you really missed out. At the bottom of the Newsletter I have put up some of the pictures from the Athens and Mt. Olive Quilt shows.

New room almost ready and we will schedule classes to learn to use the machine in November Christmas parade December 1st. All help and participants welcome. Need help with making costumes and decorating the floats. Donation of candy to give away on the parade route are also welcome. Christmas party is December 22 No quilt till you wilt in November or December due to holidays New equipment and checkout procedure coming to Hyderhangout. We are

getting the UPC scanners and automated combined checkout. It will take lots of work off of the paperwork side of things and automatically update the online inventory when things are sold in the shop. The week after Christmas will be the week that we will be putting UPC labels on the rest of everything. Please help us that week as we could use volunteers to help with this daunting task.

We are doing a Friendship Quilt with 12 ½ inch squares with your name in it somewhere. Still need beginning quilter’s bag or box with items they can use like thimbles, seam ripper, material, needles, etc. Stash Busters will be meeting the second Sat. Nov. the 10th at 1 pm. & Mon. the 12th at 6 pm.

This is a group of local artists and quilters who are exploring nonTraditional quilting and textile art techniques. They meet the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM. Hyderhangout is generous in letting this group meet in their classroom at no charge. There is no charge for coming to this group. The members of the group pitch in with supplies out of their own stashes. Come join us and bring new

ideas and techniques to explore. Will be meeting Nov. 15th Thur. 6 pm. Remember Sit & sew is every Thursday all day long.
