The Class The Rising Stars class is comprised of Buffalo’s finest young professionals. Each class brings a new group of honorees who are dedicated to developing themselves professionally and personally while also forwarding the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s mission to find a cure for CF. The Rising Stars class is currently seeking honorees for the 2016 class. The ideal honoree is an individual who… Is at the top of his/her game Is committed to doing good for others Has a desire to grow professionally and personally Has an established network and/or demonstrates a strong desire to live, work and play among the movers and shakers of Western New York
Rising Stars Honoree Benefits:
Opportunity to network with other 2016 Rising Stars Honorees, alumni, and CFF volunteer leaders from across the business community.
Top fundraiser will be awarded the “Super Star“ award. Runner up will be awarded the “Shining Star” award. Both will receive special recognition on stage.
Everyone who successfully completes the program will receive the “Rising Star” award.
Opportunity to participate in instructional courses taught by industry professionals that will improve networking skills and philanthropic leadership in the community.
Featured in local media such as magazines, newspapers, radio, television, community websites and other social media sites (If available).
Having a significant award on your resume and business and social networking sites.
Helping to save lives of children and adults with cystic fibrosis - a life threatening disease.

Important Note on Attendance at Foundation Events: To reduce the risk of getting and spreading germs at CF Foundation-sponsored events, we ask that everyone follow basic best practices by regularly cleaning your hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow and maintaining a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection. Medical evidence shows that germs may spread among people with CF through direct and indirect contact, as well as through droplets that travel short distances when a person coughs or sneezes. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and speed decline in lung function. To further help reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends inviting only one person with CF to an indoor Foundation-sponsored event at a specific time.
