Welcome to the PPAL New Port Richey Bucs! We are very excited to welcome each of you to the 2017 NPR BUCS! Hopefully everyone is ready for a great season! Our goal is to teach your children the fundamentals of football and cheer with a bit of athletic competition. With your help and support, we will teach our athletes good sportsmanship, team building, discipline, and values that will go much farther than the field and the stage. We cannot do this alone. We as a league are comprised of volunteers that help with every detail of what goes on throughout the season. Volunteering does not require any specific skill, mandated times or dates - it just takes a little effort on everyone's part to make it all work. Please let us know if you are willing and interested in finding out how you can help. Remember it is volunteering - everyone has something they can add. Everything we do is for the children and the more help we have, the better experience we all can have. Thank you, NPR Board Members

3
Sponsorship Opportunities Every family is invited to sell donation tickets for a 50-inch TV.
The winning ticket will be drawn the day of Jamboree. How this works:
Every ticket costs $10.00 and gets one entry into the drawing for the TV.
If your fees are $200.00 for the year - you could sell 20 tickets to your friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. and your fees for the year would be covered!
If you don't want the hassle of selling tickets - just pay your fees and you get the tickets in your name to win the TV!
If you have already paid your fees - don't fret! You are still eligible for the tickets!
NO tickets will be entered for the drawing without payment received by NPR. ***No NPR Board Member is eligible for this promotion. ***

Practice
Practice will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6pm until 8:30pm with the exceptions of Mascots. Mascot practice will end at 7:30pm
As soon as school starts practice will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6pm to 8pm with the exceptions of Mascots. Mascot practice will end at 7:30pm.
Four hours of practice is required each week for your child to participate in that weeks game. Coaches have the discretion to limit participation due to excessive absences. If you are not going to make a practice- it is required that you contact the Coach or Team Mom and let them know.
Please be prompt in picking up your child from practice. Once a child crosses the street they are not allowed to cross back over into the parking lot. We do have a crosswalk, but cars do not always slow down.
If your child is on Mascots , Jr. Flyweight, Flyweight, Mighty Might, or JV PARENTS are REQUIRED to attend practice . If for any reason you need to leave, you MUST let the coach or Team Mom know.
Football players and Cheerleaders must be in proper attire and on the field ready to practice 15 minutes before practice.
Football players must bring all equipment with them to practice. We will not loan out any equipment.
Football players and Cheerleaders are not allowed to wear their game pants game day uniforms to practice. WATER - your child needs to drink lots of water at least 24 hours before practice. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT FOR HYDRATION !!!We will hydrate your child every 15 minutes during practice.
7
RAIN - Practice will not be cancelled due to rain until 6:30pm. You must still come to the field until the coaches dismiss you. We will practice in rain, NOT during storms. We have a lightening detector at all times.
Important Information
Team Moms - Team Moms help the Coaches and NPR Board with getting information to the parents. This includes keeping the children hydrated, keeping attendance records, snacks, etc. If you are interested being a Team Mom, please see your head coach. Each Football team is allowed two Team Moms and Cheerleading is allowed one Team Mom per Squad. You must also volunteer in the concession stand on Game Days as part of this position.
Fundraising
Every family/athlete will be required to participate in Fundraising during the season.
Fundraising is not everyone's favorite thing to do, but this is how the organization operates. The initial registration fee does not cover the cost of uniforms, field rental, insurance, referees, and other general operating expenses.
We will do two Fundraisers this year including selling cookie dough. This fundraiser will be optional. This is a very profitable fundraiser and we encourage each family to participate! We will keep you informed of what the second fundraiser will be. If anyone has additional fundraising suggestions, please let us know. FUNDRAISING,GAME, and UPDATE INFORMATION WILL BE ON TEAM SNAP!
