NRASL SEPTEMBER 2013 BOARD MEETING MINUTES SEPTEMBER 16, 2013
Present: Jackson, Fox,Vanover, Cope, Covert,Schuster,Palache,Panagiotou,Fry,Schnell,Grau,Murphy,Tom Wagner, Doug Covert,Jedlicka BEGAN: 8:07pm President: Jeff GrauVolunteer of the Year- Marcie Smith Boys Coach of the Year- Chris Moore Girls Coach of the Year- Cheri Wohleber Young referee of the year: Eric Fox In-house Coach of the Year- Matt Hall Admin. Of the Year- Jeff Grau Recognition will be November 9, 2013 for lunch Tournament Update: Next year instead of using Liberty will be to use Frontier Park as it is city owned not just for football. Vote taken for Tournament 2014- Passed by all Guest – Doug Covert: Concern regarding travel players playing on the rec teams. Kids are getting hurt with slide tackling, excessive trash talking and multiple kids that play travel on the same rec team. Troy to send out emails to all coaches that they need to address and keep the trash talking, slide tackling etc. under control.
ELECTIONS 2013: November will be voting. Nomination Committee will speak with each per currently holding the position and those interested in a position for the ballot. Cindy, Derrick and Troy volunteered to do so. Open positions: Technical Directors currently Tara and Chris Girls travel Director currently Jeff Hassler
Commissioner currently Wayne Fox Vice President currently George Panagiotou Field Dir. Currently Pat Graham Fundraising currently Holly Schnell In-House wrap up: League Wide Training only 6 players showed up Kid safe only 3 coaches had not completed
Commissioner: Wayne Fox- Referee evaluations made to be filled out. If earrings are in the player will not be able to play Guest: Bret Smith Forever Green $2000.00 to over seed and patch. Long term the City plans for the soccer complex to be a multipurpose instead of just soccer. Brett to set up meeting with his guys to get the $/work involved and estimates etc. Brett also to get goal info for 8x24 sets.
