Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States right now. In some ways lacrosse is where soccer was 15 years ago….poised to explode in terms of the number of involved families and players. Every player plays EVERY game. Kids are challenged to perform at a high level but we never lose site of the fact that these are kids and this is a game. Lacrosse can be a key part of any family getting any youngster ready for college in terms of personal growth and maturity.

Dear Parents: We want to take a moment out of your busy week to tell you about the Northwest Arkansas Lacrosse Club and why it is a great activity for your child. This rapidly growing program is now serving boys and girls of all age groups in this region. We are a growing program that offers instructional, local leagues for ages K-4 and we are a “traveling team” that hosts games locally and travels to neighboring states to play. In recent years, we have sent a number of our high school boy players to play in college programs where they are currently attending school with significant scholarships. Lacrosse is providing more scholarship dollars to local athletes than many other traditional sports in the region. This is the time of year when school has started and parents are looking into potential sports activities for their children. We would encourage you to give some thought to this fun and exciting sport and join us at one of our informational meetings on Wednesday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rogers Library (girls in grades 5-12) OR on Tuesday, September 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Bentonville Library (boys and girls grades K-8). Our philosophy as a program is a little different than other local sports. • • •

We believe every player should have an opportunity to play in every game. We believe the kids should be challenged to perform at a high level but we never lose site of the fact that these are kids and this is a game. We understand that lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States right now. In some ways lacrosse is where soccer was 15 years ago…poised to explode in terms of the number of involved families and players. We believe that lacrosse can be a key part of any family prepping any youngster for college in terms of personal growth and maturity.
If you would like more information about our program and how to get your child involved this is the right time of year! We have practice activities through the fall and our season starts in January, running through May. Please join us at our informational meeting, go to www.nwalacrosse.com, connect with us on Facebook or Twitter, or email us below for more information. We hope to hear from you soon.
