OCKERIDGE LAKES, HOCKHAMS LANE, LITTLE WITLEY, WORCESTERSHIRE WORCESTERSHIRE LOCATION Ockeridge Lakes are located in a rural location surrounded by farmland situated off Hockhams Lane between Ockeridge and Little Witley, to the south of the A443 approximately 9.3 miles west of Droitwich and 14 miles south of Kidderminster.
DESCRIPTION Ockeridge Lakes is run and owned by West Midlands Travel Sports and Social Society having acquired it in 2003 since when it has been available for society members and to the public on a day ticket basis and as a venue for hire by other clubs and organisations for match fishing. The fishery approached by a private track comprises 3.952 acres and contains four artificially created lakes as follows:-

OCKERIDGE LAKES, HOCKHAMS LANE, LITTLE WITLEY, WORCESTERSHIRE WORCESTERSHIRE THE FISHERY BUSINESS RATES We are advised that the lakes vary in depths from between 4-6 ft to 7-9 ft. Each lake has had investment in the form of concrete peg bank staging and the lakes each include a “mushroom” aerator powered by Pramac E4000 gas powered generators.
Interested parties are advised to make their own enquiries to the Local Council.
The fishery is stocked with a variety of freshwater fish including carp, tench, bream, roach, perch and ide (orfe). The society introduced 480 common and mirror carp in February 2009 and we understand that the fishery includes a number of double figure fish with the largest carp recently caught weighing 36Ibs. Match fishing weights are understood to average circa 80lbs with the most successful anglers regularly achieving over 100lbs.

The fishery includes a car park for anglers which includes two metal container type buildings on of which is used as a maintenance workshop used by the fishery bailiff , the second as a store room. There is also a hut providing a WC. We are informed that there are no mains services connected to the property. As schedule of equipment to be sold with the property together with details of income and current costs including that of the full time Bailiff are available on request. Income for 2014 was just under £20,000 of which just over 50% was made up from match fishing bookings.
