School Picture Day will take place on Wednesday, October 18th. Please return the envelope and payment to school on school picture day, Wednesday, October 18th. 2. Our next school board meeting will take place on Thursday, November 2nd, at 9:00 a.m. in the Town Office. 3. Election Day on November 7th in school gymnasium from 8:00a.m.-8:00p.m. 4. No school on Friday, November 10th, in observance of Veteran’s Day. 5. Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on November 20 & 21. Students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. both conference days and lunch will be served. 6. Thanksgiving Break: November 23-26. School will reopen on Monday, November 27th. 7. "HOLIDAY CONCERT" for PK-6 on December 13, 2017 at 5:30 P.M. Snow date 12/14. BUS NOTES Please send in written notes with your child when changing his/her bus destination. Sending notes via email is not always reliable, especially if the person you are emailing is not in the office that day. If you do not receive a response to an emailed bus note be sure to call the school to notify us of any changes. Thank you TOWN OFFICE NEWS Election Day Tuesday, November 7th Polls Open 8am - 8pm in the school gymnasium The ballot will feature four state referendum questions including two citizen's initiative questions, one bond question and one proposed constitutional amendment. If you have questions about the ballot, there are sample ballots in the Town Office. Absentee voting is also available through November 2nd during Town Office hours: Monday to Thursday 9-12 and 1-5. If you are new to town you can register to vote on voting day with proof of ID and residency. LEADERSHIP CLUB Thanksgiving Baskets are right around the corner! Believe it or not, Thanksgiving Basket time is right around the corner. I am looking for students that would like to help out with the project. If you are interested, please let me know! Our target date to go to the Farmer's Market in Bath is the Saturday before Thanksgiving. [email protected] NOTES FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT When changing batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors please note the expiration date on the unit itself. The ionization chamber in the detector has a useful life of ten (10) years and tends to fail at the most inopportune times like 2:00 a.m. in the morning.
