October 4, 2012 Dear Family, Friends, and Corporations, I am a twenty-three year old senior Biology Major at Savannah State University. Some of my proudest achievements include:
EDGE Internship Recipient for two consecutive years (Summer 2011/2012) Miss Black and Gold 2011-2012 Savannah State University Medallion Scholar Founding member of the Savannah State University Chapter of American Medical Student Association st 1 place in Biology/Environmental category- Peach State Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (PSLSAMP) th 6 Annual Fall Symposium and Research Conference Singing with the Savannah Philharmonic, singing on tour in Los Angeles, California, and singing in the annual Martin Luther King Observance Day in Tifton, GA, hosted by Ambrose King, nephew of Dr. MLK, all as a member of the Savannah State University Concert Choir. Published Abstract- Seasonal Changes in the Anatomy and Morphology of Spartina alterniflora Induction into the Biology National Honor Society
My most recent accomplishment was being selected as a State Finalist for the Miss Georgia USA pageant to be held in November at the Woodland Performing Arts Theatre in Cartersville. The Georgia Pageant system is one of the premier state pageants in the United States and I will represent the city of Savannah as I compete for the title of Miss Georgia USA 2013! I have contacted you because I am hoping that you will participate with me! Yes, you can participate and get some recognition for yourself and or your company by being one of my sponsors. The sponsorship fee is $1195.00 and you may contribute all or part of it. My top sponsors will be recognized in the Official State Program and in Press Coverage; this is a Donald Trump and NBC Universal joint venture. The criterion to be considered a top sponsor is financing the contestant with a minimum donation of $300.00. The sponsorship is necessary to help cover the costs of the pageant weekend, such as hotel accommodations, meals for three days, production costs, etc. Businesses may use their sponsorship as an advertising write off during tax season. All donations are accepted, great or small. Checks and or money orders may be sent directly to the pageant headquarters [address: Greenwood Productions, P.O.
