MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT: OCTOBER 8 ______________________________________________ Youth Ministry Conclave TEXAS

Carlos Montoya, youth minister at South Oaks Baptist Church in Arlington, has participated in Conclave for 15 years. “From a leadership standpoint, it helps rejuvenate and encourage me in the calling God has for me. These three days are full of conversations, learning and leadership training I need to better myself when it comes to ministering to students. “From a programming standpoint, it helps me with new and fresh ideas, mission trip and camp opportunities, new literature, and feedback on what I am doing now,” Montoya said.

For more than 30 years, Conclave has provided Texas Baptists’ youth ministers and youth workers encouragement, networking opportunities, resources, equipping and meaningful worship experiences, said Jane Wilson, youth discipleship specialist. Our giving to the Cooperative Program has made this possible. Pray for youth ministers to continue to have the wisdom to minister to teens and parents in such a way that not only spreads the Gospel, but prepares future church leaders for service.

“There is no greater youth ministry conference in the U.S., for the cost, that you get with Conclave. This only happens with the support of churches in the Cooperative Program,” he pointed out.
