OCU Stars Volleyball Open Tryouts
OCU Stars Volleyball Open Tryouts The Oklahoma City University Volleyball program will be holding several open tryouts this year. Tryouts are open to all unsigned high school seniors, college transfers with eligibility remaining, or anyone who has graduated high school (NAIA has no age limit). Juniors are welcome to attend tryouts on March 11. Participants are asked to please call/text or email ahead and reserve a spot by Jan. 19 (for Jan. 20 tryout), Feb. 20 (for the Feb. 23 tryout), & March 9 (for March 11).
JANUARY 20 - HS Seniors and older only 7:30-9:30 p.m. FEBRUARY 23 - HS Seniors and older only 4-8 p.m. (Admissions tour at 4) MARCH 11 - HS Junior/Senior Tryout 2-5 p.m.
Oklahoma City University is in the Sooner Athletic Conference of the NAIA. In 2017, the Stars won both the Sooner Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships for the second consecutive year. Oklahoma City (23-7) advanced to the national tournament for the third time while collecting its fourth consecutive 20-win season. We are looking to add a lot of players to this year’s roster, and excited about the future of Stars Volleyball under the helm of new Head Coach, Santiago Restrepo.
