Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is this event Open to the Public? A: Yes, this event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and is held on Redstone Arsenal each year. Even if you normally couldn’t get on to Redstone Arsenal you will be able to get through the gate for this event! Q: Who needs a ticket? A: Everyone entering the ‘Fest must have a ticket. Infants that are in arms or that are too young to walk don’t need a ticket. Q: Do you offer a Military Discount? A: YES! Active Duty Military (limit family of 5) must show their Military IDs and get $2 off each ticket purchased on Friday night of the ‘Fest! YOU MUST SHOW YOUR MILITARY ID TO GET THE DISCOUNT. Friday Night Only. Q: What is the cost for children? A: Anyone entering the ‘Fest must have a ticket. Infants that are in arms or that are too young to walk don’t need a ticket. There are rides that young children can enjoy. Q: How do I get tickets? A: Tickets are for sale at the entrance to the ‘Fest. Tickets: Thursday $12, Friday $15, Saturday $15 and Sunday $12.

Q: I’m planning on attending the ‘Fest on Redstone Arsenal. Can you give me driving directions from I-65? A: Take I-65 then take Exit 340 to I-565 E. Take I-565 E until you come into Huntsville and take the Jordan Lane exit (exit 17--also AL Hwy. 53 S.), turn right at the top of the "ON" ramp, and stay headed straight south on Jordan Lane (the name "Jordan Lane" changes to "Patton Rd." after you cross Drake Ave., but don't worry). Continue on Jordan Lane/ Patton Rd. until you reach Gate 10 of Redstone Arsenal. Please have your driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance ready for the gate guard. All adults in the car must have a picture ID.

Frequently Asked Questions (continued) Q: What gate do I enter Redstone Arsenal if I don’t have a Redstone decal or badge? A: Gate #10 Jordan Lane/Patton Road only. Gate #10 will open to the general public 30 minutes before the Oktoberfest starts each day. Q: What time can I enter Redstone Arsenal through Gate #10 without a badge/decal? A: Gate #10 will open to Oktoberfest traffic as follows: Thursday, Sept 12 at 4:30 p.m.; Friday, Sept 13 at 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, Sept 14 at 11:30 a.m.; and Sunday, Sept 15 at 11:30 a.m. Q: What do I need to get onto the Arsenal, if I don’t have an Arsenal ID/Badge or decal? A: Each adult in the car will need a picture ID; the driver may be asked to show proof of insurance on the vehicle, and registration. Minor children do not need a picture ID. Please remember that all cars are subject to a random search. Q: If I have a Redstone ID/Badge and a decal which gate can I enter? A: You can enter any Redstone Arsenal Gate during their normal operating hours. Make sure that all adults in the car have a picture ID. Q: Once I get through gate 10, where do I park? A: There will be Redstone Arsenal Police Officers directing traffic to the FREE parking lots off of Patton Road (Jordan Lane South). Q: Will there be a handicapped parking? A: The handicapped parking is located to the South of the Community Activity Center. Once that area is full, there is additional handicapped parking between Heiser Hall and the Diane Campbell Conferencing Center. There will be signage to identify the parking. YOU MUST HAVE A VALID HANDICAPPED PARKING PERMIT to utilize these spaces. Q: Where is the Oktoberfest going to be held? A: This event is held outdoors on the Activity Field off Patton Road. It may be a good idea to apply sunscreen and bug spray before coming to the ‘Fest. Q: Can I bring a purse/bag into the ‘Fest field? A: Yes, but all bags coming onto the field will be subject to a search. Q: Are pets allowed at the ‘Fest? A: No, pets are strictly prohibited. Q: Can I carry a pocket knife/weapon? A: NO. ALL weapons are strictly prohibited, they will be confiscated and further action will be taken if necessary. Q: What is new to the O’Fest this year? A: Bigger and Better Craft Biergarten with 5.25 Oz. Sample Glass with Brew Caddy for unlimited samples, .5L Glass Steins, live band (JUICE) on Saturday from 3-6 PM and a DJ the rest of the nights! Tons of new sponsor booths to visit! Giant Blow Up Screen for a Saturday Night College Football Game! NEW Pub Grub Food Trailer run by The Summit at Redstone with awesome food choices and the return of our Giant Bavarian Pretzels! MWR’s Information, Ticket and Reservation Office will have a booth full of their latest Disney and Harry Potter gear (including awesome Harry Potter Steins)!
