Issue under Consideration:
Resolution to approve the enact Section 410320 of the Capital Project Sales Tax Act.
Current Status:
The Administration has met with the Courthouse Committee and the county’s bond attorney to discuss potential funding sources for the courthouse project. Thus, its recommended we consider the Capital Project Sales Tax (0.01 cent sales tax) to fund this project. Please see the attached correspondence that outlines how this process is executed.
Points to Consider:
Approving this resolution is the first step in the process. Once approved, council will need to appoint members (county residents) to serve on the commission.
