U10 tournaments will be hosted by Challenger tournaments. Players will receive one (1) participation point by completing a U10 Orange level tournament beginning January 2014 Players will get credit for playing in USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT). Player must play a minimum of three (3) matches. This rule begins for 2014 JTT Only one (1) participation point is awarded per month. No 9 & under player may play yellow ball until they turn 10 years old.

On the searchable schedule, look for any tournament that reads OK Challenger (Name of Tournament) BG12-‐18 Anyone ages 9-‐18 9 & 10-‐year old players who have completed the 10s requirements (see 10s Requirements) may play up in the BG12s with the green dot ball Challenger players may compete in any Challenger older division. Points earned in multiple age divisions are not combined. For example: A player might have 150 points in B16 and 50 points in B18. The 150 and 50 points are not combined. Championship level players who are re-‐qualifying Out of state players may not participate in Challenger level tournaments

How are points awarded and how to qualify for the Championship Level? § § §

Each singles main draw match won earns a player 50 points Each singles consolation draw match won earns a player 25 points A total of 500 points in the best five (5) tournaments will earn advancement to the Championship level. ▪ BG12 have the option to stay in the Challenger level after 500 points are obtained. BG14-‐18 must move up to the Championship Level once 500 points is obtained. ▪ A BG12 player that has qualified can play both Challenger and Championship level tournaments. (This rule only applies to BG12s). Qualifying points are calculated on the best five (5) tournaments in a rolling twelve-‐month period. Only Challenger level tournaments will award players advancement points. Defaults, walkovers and withdrawals do not count as a win for the player advancing to the next round. Retirements count as a win and player advancing to the next round will receive points. Players must complete the tournament to earn points. Defaults, withdrawals or walkovers, for whatever reason, will result in loss of any points earned in that tournament. Challenger points do not carry over from one age division to another and challenger points do not carry over to Championship level. The Junior Competition Committee can rule that in extreme cases, when a player is unable to finish a tournament due to injury, illness or emergency, the player may appeal to the Committee with medical documentation. The JCC will review the appeal.

Who can play in the Champs Circuit? § § § § § §
Players ages 10-‐18 10 year olds must complete the BG10’s requirements and then qualify for the Championship level through the Challenger level. Oklahoma resident junior players who have qualified through the Challenger level. New resident players who have been approved by the Oklahoma District JCC. Note: Champs is the same as Championship!!!! If you don’t meet any of the above criteria, click here.
Players are now playing in Champ MV level 5 tournaments to work on their OK & MV ranking
Players at this level are eligible for Future Qualifiers and MV Level 4 District Championships
As players move up in the MV standings list, they will be eligible for MV Futures, Supers and Sweet 16

Championship level standings list will be determined by the five (5) best Championship level tournaments and Missouri Valley tournaments that are held in Oklahoma in a rolling 12-‐month period.

There will be six (6) OK Future Qualifiers for the following MV Future 2014 dates: Each OK Future Qualifier will qualify one spot for MV Futures corresponding to the OK Future Qualifying date. MV will select district endorsed spots first and then the remainder of the entries will be taken off the MV standings list. OK Future Qualifier are closed to Oklahoma residents who have completed the Challenger process Players that appear in the top 25 of the most recent standings list will not be eligible to play. No double offered Entries closed to Oklahoma residents that have qualified through the Challenger level.
Championship Tournaments – MV Level 5 § §

There will be four (4) tournaments called the District Championships – MV Level 4 tournaments in a calendar year: January, June, July/August and September/October. Doubles will be offered (Indoor tournaments will be subject to court availability) Entries closed to Oklahoma residents that have qualified through the Challenger level.
Any tournament that is OK Championship (Name of the Tournament) BG12-‐18 is a level 5 tournament. Championship tournaments are closed to Oklahoma residents who have completed the Challenger process

Champs Playing Up and Aging Up ¡
Aging Up – 35/35 § §

Players may stay in the Championship level aging up by meeting one of the two below criteria’s: If a player is in the top 35% (percentage) of the Championship level standings list in the younger or older age group at the first of the month of the player’s birthday, they will stay at the Championship level and placed at the bottom of the older age group. If a player is in the top 35 (ranking) of the MV standings list in the younger or older age group at the first of the month of the player’s birthday, they will stay at the Championship level and placed at the bottom of the older age group. This rule begins with January 2014 birth month players If the player is at the bottom 65% (percentage) of the Championship level standings list in the younger age group at the first of the month of the player’s birthday or does not appear in the top 35 (ranking) on the MV standings list at the first of the month of the player’s birthday, they will need to re-‐qualify through the Challenger level.
Playing up Players may play up in a higher age group in the Championship level by meeting one of the two below criteria’s: § If a player is in the top 35% (percentage) of the most recent Championship level standings list in the younger age group at time of tournament. § If a player is in the top 35 (ranking) standing list of the most recent MV standings list in the younger age group at time of tournament.
