Dimensions: White cardstock: a 5 ½” x 8 ½” piece Aqua Mist cardstock: a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece Stamper’s Select White cardstock: a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece and a 4” x 5 ¼” piece Rustic Cream button twine: a 10” piece 1 Tropical Teal button Directions: 1. Fold the 5 ½” x 8 ½” piece of white cardstock in half, with a bone folder, creating a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card base. If desired, trim a sliver off one side and off the bottom, using a paper trimmer. For this project we will create a card front that can be adhered to a card base. 2. Stamp the flower onto the 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of white cardstock, using VersaMark ink. Sprinkle white embossing powder over the image. Tap off the excess embossing powder. Heat this with a heat tool until the embossing powder has melted. 3. Ink up the 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of white cardstock that has the embossed flower in three inks, Tropical Teal ink at the top of the cardstock, Hawaiian Shores ink in the center of the cardstock and Aqua Mist ink at the bottom of the cardstock, using an ink blending tool. 4. Die cut two feathers from the inked up piece of 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of white cardstock, making sure that the embossed flower will partially appear on one of the die cut feathers, using the Fine Feathers dies and a die cutting machine. 5. Stamp the ink splats image two times onto the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock, behind where you want the feathers to be, using Aqua Mist ink. Make sure you re-ink the image each time. 6. Stamp the greeting onto the left side of the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock, as shown in the above photo, using Onyx Black VersaFine ink. 7. Center and stick the 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock onto the 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of Aqua Mist cardstock, using double sided adhesive. 8. Stick the die cut feathers to the card front, as shown in the above photo, using double sided adhesive. 9. Sew a button onto the card front, at the base of the feathers, using Rustic Cream button twine. Tie the ends of the twine into a bow on the front of the button. Trim the ends if necessary. 10. Stick the card front onto the card base, using double sided adhesive. You’re done! Created by Leigh Penner © Paper Crafter’s Library, February 2015. www.papercrafterslibrary.com
