Christmas Angels are Coming!
It may be sweltering outside but we’re already thinking Christmas! Project Christmas Angels provides Christmas gifts to some of the 400 families served by Henderson Settlement, a Methodistaffiliated organization whose purpose is to meet the basic human needs of people in southeast Kentucky and northeast Tennessee. If you would like to help please stop by the Christmas Angel tree in Dixon Hall and pick up an angel. Choose your angel, pray over it, and then shop, shop, shop! Gift cards are a great option as well as they transport a bit easier. We ask you to bring the angel back with the gift or gift card to SRUMC by Aug. 12. If you have any questions please call Beth Tosko at 614-876-8170 or e-mail
[email protected].

Calling All Bean Counters Been looking for a way to serve at Scioto Ridge but haven’t found the right niche for you? Are you fond of numbers, or do you just have knack for working with them? Well we’re looking for a few good women and men.
9th Sunday After Pentecost
Late each Sunday morning, a team of two unrelated church members organize, count and compile the weekly offering at the direction of our Financial Secretary, Jim Sanderson. These individuals are expertly trained, willing to serve the Lord and capable of maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality. Worried about the time commitment on a Sunday? Come on, we’re only talking about two or three hours once a month. And the Football Buckeyes play on Saturdays, the Bengals and Browns just aren’t very good, and we can schedule around Ohio State basketball. Still not convinced? Well our Lord calls all of us to use our God-given gifts to serve His kingdom. If this sounds interesting and you are a member of the church and have basic Microsoft Excel and/or data entry skills, please contact Jim Sanderson
[email protected].
Welcome! We are so glad you are here!
If you would like any additional information about Scioto Ridge United Methodist Church, please visit the Welcome Center in the lobby and we will be happy to help you. Hearing enhancement devices, large print hymnals and wheel-
chairs are available for assistance. Please see an usher for help with any of these needs. After each service, everyone is invited to enjoy Fellowship Time in Dixon Hall and visit current ministry opportunity displays.
