The ranch is accessed by using Platina Rd to the town of Ono and turning north on Buell Rd. the northwest portion of the property is serviced by Rector Creek Rd off of Rainbow Lake Rd. The small rural community of Ono has a small store, fire station, and about 10 homes. DESCRIPTION: The Ono Eagle Creek Ranch is a very unique ranch, estate located on the western side of the Sacramento Valley. It is very private, has two perennial streams, Rector Creek and Eagle Creek flowing through the property, and is served through a irrigation ditch by the Rainbow Lake Irrigation District. Views of the Mt Lassen Range Bully Choop Mountain , riparian corridors along the creeks, a lovely large pond with continues flow of fresh water, oaks, pines, and irrigated meadows make this ranch one of a kind. The headquarters are located at the end of Buell Rd behind an electric gate. The ranch has miles of ridding or hiking trails. Wildlife is everywhere. Eagles both Bald and Golden, deer, quail, waterfowl (mostly honkers on the pond) black bear are all visitors to the ranch. All improvements are first class plus. Just for characters sake a few of the old ranch buildings have been preserved and are used. This ranch is presently being used as an equestrian facility, and could be an excellent purebred cow ranch or a bed and breakfast operation. ACREAGE: Approximately 773 acres as per county APN maps. WATER: The Ono Eagle Creek ranch has two live creeks, a large pond, and is supplied irrigation water (two miner’s inches) from the Rainbow Lake Irrigation District. Also there are two domestic wells that produce about 15 GPM. The ranch has excellent water resources. The Rainbow Lake Irrigation District ditch flows through the ranch adding to the ranches water features. IMPROVEMENTS: The ranch house is 4200 square feet 4 bedroom 3 baths home that has been completely remolded and is an entertainers dream home. The kitchen has granite counter tops. Floors are Travertine and hardwood. The cabinets are Elder wood. The massive fireplace is made of native stone from the ranches creeks. The house is really spectacular from the custom made carved wood front doors to the bathrooms with custom stone work and antique vanities. All windows are custom Anderson windows that help keep the house bright with daylight light and maximize the views of the ranch. The views from the large wooded deck of the meadows, pond and lower ranch are right out Sunset Magazine’s idea of what western living is all about. The main horse barn is a covered, lighted riding arena. The arena is 170’ by 76’ and has 12 stalls with automatic waters and paddocks. This is a very new metal building, with electricity, water, bathroom and shower. The wash rack has hot and cold water. The round-pen sits close to the barn and tack room.

A large new building 36’ by 40’ with concrete floors is used as a shop and equipment storage; however it could easily be converted to stalls and hay storage. There are two roll up doors and a shed row shelter for the horses. It is located close to the ridding arena and stalls. There are also numerous turn out paddocks. One of the older historical buildings has been converted to a gym, and is fully equipped to tone those muscles. The present owner likes to keep fit and between hikes around the ranch uses the gym extensively. There are other misc buildings such as pump houses and equipment sheds, but all are maintained in top shape. LIVESTOCK: Presently the ranch is an equestrian operation. The present owner rides eventing / jumping horses and trains, rides them at this ranch. The Eagle Creek Ranch has plenty of grass to run cattle on, and would make a great pure bred operation, or a cutting, roping horse operation. The hills and trails would be a great place to leg up horses and train them to ride outside. RECREATION: The ranch has an unbelievable amount of wild life on it. This is a result of all the water resources and the cover available. Quail, black tail deer, black bears, eagles, and some waterfowl abound on this ranch. It is private and isolated from human intrusion. One of the great features of the ranch is a private swimming hole in Eagle Creek that has a barbeque area, and its own waterfall. This area is accessed by 4 wheeler or a nice hike. The ranch has miles and miles of hiking or equestrian trails. The ranch has been approved as a bed and breakfast, and is in an ideal location and has all the facilities for this or a spa retreat. COMMENTS: You will not find a ranch like this on the Westside of the Sacramento Valley. It offers more opportunities than any ranch I have seen in a long time. While it is located in the country with all its advantages the ranch is a very short drive to Redding with all the big city amenities. Airports for commercial flights and a private airport are within a short drive of the ranch. PRICE $2,699,000.
