MISSION Operation Christmas Child (OCC) demonstrates God’s love through gift-filled shoe boxes. Each year caring individuals, families, churches and other groups fill shoe boxes with toys, school supplies and other items for children in need. Through thousands of volunteers nationwide, the boxes are collected and distributed around the world to millions of children affected by war, poverty, disease and disaster.
TAKE ACTION
Be part of the OCC packing party at PLC
Pick up an OCC box or use another shoebox. Then pack a box with ageappropriate items. Bring it to church during the pick up week in November.
Join the OCC supply team
Volunteer to drive and sort boxes at the processing center.
SERVING OPPORTUNITIES Annually, PLC hosts a church-wide event during November to collect supplies and pack about 300 boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Everyone can participate by bringing supplies or a shoe box filled with toys and other small gifts to church during these two weeks.
