A message from
Elite camp
Coach osborne I, along with my staff, am so excited to announce and release information about our 2016 summer camps. Camps at the University of Charleston are an important and special part of our program. We enjoy the opportunity to interact with so many campers who are enthusiastic about learning the fundamentals and basics of our great game of basketball. In addition, I get excited about the opportunity to not only teach the things necessary to be successful in basketball, but also the things necessary to be successful in life. Being successful in the right way – with character, integrity, and hard work – is an important part of the UC camp experience. We will integrate these teachings throughout camp – in stations, in game play, in interaction with others, and with guest speakers. Each day, we will seek to teach the campers to play right and live right. We are committed to each camper’s development as players and as maturing citizens. Our teaching will be done in a positive and fun environment. We welcome players of any and all skill levels to participate in our camps. We look forward to joining with you this summer in what promises to be an exciting summer of hoops!

Our coaching staff wants to build a program with local ties. We want high school basketball players in the state of West Virginia and the surrounding states to realize that UC is a great place to go to school and play basketball. This day of camp will be a look at our program and how we develop players and build a program. We will spend the day putting each athlete through individual workouts, team workouts, a strength workout, and film sessions. We want you as a high school player to understand the commitment needed to play college athletics, point you in the right direction to prepare you for the college level, and eventually consider UC as a possible option for your college years in the future. We are proud of the system we use to build a championship caliber program and want to share it with you. At the same time, we want to evaluate you as a player and begin to build a relationship with you.
