GATHERED Welcome Announcements Stewardship Minute Call to Worship One: The new day dawns. Many: We give thanks to God. One: We give thanks to God for the light of the day, Many: for the bounty of the earth, for the company of friends in faith. One: For God’s direction in life. Many: For God’s enduring hand, an abiding presence. One: So, wondrous God, direct our minds and hearts this hour, this day. Many: And fill our hearts with joy as we worship You, the Source and Goal of life. *Hymn For the Beauty of the Earth (vs. 1, 2, 4) Words to Grow By

*The Morning Resolve One: God of the new day, you bring us the Dawning morning as a Gracious Gift. As I sit in the silence of your morning I work to remember the
things that need to rise in me: A tolerance of those who don’t agree with me, Many: a refusal to judge others, One: a willingness to forgive, Many: greater effort to live with a non-violent heart, One: loving thoughts toward those who don’t exactly dote on me, Many: a calm and hopeful spirit in the midst of my anxieties, One: discipline in my daily personal prayer, Many: attention and faithfulness in my daily work, One: a holy anger for injustice in our world. Many: Be present Lord, in my life and living this day, that others may see You in my witness. Amen. *Words of Encouragement One: As God’s own, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness and patience. Many: We are ambassadors for Christ. One: And forgive each other, even as the Lord has forgiven you. Many: We bear the love of God, the forgiveness of Christ into a broken world. One: And crown all of these with love, which binds everything together toward a perfect harmony. Many: We are makers of peace, forbears of the kingdom of heaven, God’s rule of love in all life. Amen. *Response
