Our Professional Development Experts Dr. Kevin T. Brady formed the American Institute for History Education and CICERO Systems to revolutionize the modern classroom. Content is king in all of Brady’s programs; yet substantive content is always presented in signature Common Core methods and strategies that engage modern students. Students learn to master content as a means to explore, discover, and construct salient conclusions, using modern technological tools. Over the past 10 years, Dr. Brady has conducted well over 1,000 professional development sessions throughout the United States. Dr. Brady is an enthusiastic, animated speaker who always gets teachers to challenge conventional wisdom, helping them to re-impassionate their approach and their interaction with students. TM
Dr. Brady’s Liberty Fellowship Professional Development model has helped thousands of urban, suburban, and rural teachers at all levels make gains of 20 points (35%) on content assessment-evaluations, 30% higher than control groups of like teachers. Teachers have modernized the way they teach content to students and the students score 11 to 15 points higher on assessment-evaluations. The students th scored 25-35% higher than control groups. In one district, all students moved from a district score of the 59 th percentile to the 79 percentile on state assessments, within in two years of the program. Dr. Brady helped write the New Jersey Framework and the State’s Social Studies Assessments in the 1990s. He also wrote questions for Maryland’s, Georgia’s and California’s assessments for ETS. From these experiences, Dr. Brady continues to show teachers how to prepare for state assessments by explaining the “mystery” of how the questions and answers are created. He shows teachers how to use their state and Common Core standards to create standards-based curricula that help students prepare for assessments. Dr. Brady will not have teachers “teach to the test.” Rather, they will dynamically teach to the standards, which are required by state law. Dr. Brady can show you how to bring up test scores.
