Out of District Student Contract Students who apply for and are granted attendance privileges at Solomon USD #393 are not guaranteed the automatic right of attendance and enrollment. Because of our standards and expectations, the following measures must be maintained by all students who attend from beyond our district boundaries. 1. Attendance – Any out of district student who defines themselves as truant pursuant to USD #393 policy will immediately forfeit the opportunity to attend Solomon USD #393. All students are required to abide by compulsory attendance Kansas statues 72-977, 72-1111 and 72-1113, and must follow procedures for excused absences as outlined in the Solomon Junior and Senior High handbook. If a student is tardy to school more than 10 days or absent more than 15 days the students out of district status will be revoked. 2.

Discipline – All students in Solomon USD #393 are expected to be responsible and follow reasonable guidelines for behavior while attending Solomon USD #393. Students who attend Solomon USD #393 from outside the district must be students in good standing at all times or may forfeit the privilege of attendance. Students will undergo a discipline review quarterly to ensure that they are maintaining the highest level of integrity and behavior that is expected of all students.

3. Bullying – Out of district students who define themselves through their actions, words or technology pursuits as bullies may forfeit their opportunity to attend Solomon USD #393. Pursuant to Kansas Statue KSA 772-8205, bullying will not be tolerated from students in Solomon USD #393 and out of district students will risk their attendance privileges. 4. Academics – Out of district students agree to maintain a 2.0 grade point average at the end of each marking period, October, December, March, and May. Out of district students who do not maintain a 2.0 grade point average will have their admission to USD 393 revoked.

Out of district students may be approved to attend Solomon USD #393 within the adherence to these guidelines for attendance and behavior. Students and parents have the opportunity to understand this commitment and must signify that commitment by signature below. Without signature, USD #393 will not accept out of district requests.
