OUTDOOR SOCCER INTRAMURAL SPORTS Sport Description In numbers of participants and spectators, soccer is the world's most popular sport in part because of its simple rules and essential equipment. Players, with the exception of the goalie, work to move the ball down the field to the opponent's goal by passing, dribbling and shooting. The goalie's job is to keep the ball from entering the goal. Only goalies are allowed to touch the ball with their hands or arms during general play. Ball control and teamwork make this sport one of the most logistical events in the Intramural Sports Program.

ENTRY FEE AND DUE $21.58 per team paid online through IMLeagues.com when selecting a division to compete in. The registration fee is due by the end of the registration process. DATES: GAME SITE:

LEAGUES & PLAYER Men: Men's (6) Women: Women's (6) REGISTRATION Co-Rec: Co-Rec (6 - 3m/3f, 4m/2f, or 2m/4f) MINIMUM: EVENT FORMAT:
4 week regular season followed by a single elimination tournament
GAME FORMAT:
The game will be played between 2 teams of 8 players (including goalkeeper) each. A minimum of 6 players are need to start the game. The game will consist of two 20minute halves. Ties are only broken during tournament play.
