Over the place: the utopia The project wants to solve the critic situation of the american prisoners through the infinite repetition of this floating building which can be situated everywhere. The prison is located above the Route 160 to define a strong mark on the area, so it represents an important element in the natural environment. By an external view it looks like a simple and silent concrete object, but the inner yards make the light come in due to make the space brighter. The interior spaces are subdivided in six parts: the cells - the canteen - the workshop spaces - the library - the public spaces for the religious confessions and the visits - the spaces for the prison workers. The spaces where the prisoners can learn and work have a huge relevance in the composition of the plan. They want to educate the prisoners in order to rehabilitate them in the society battling the recidivism.
