Who is CWIA? CWIA = Center for Workforce Information & Analysis (www.workstats.dli.pa.gov)
• Part of the PA Department of Labor & Industry charged with compiling, analyzing, & preparing labor market information on the residents and workforce of the commonwealth. • One designated roles is to learn everything about the various employers and employees in the state.
Who are the employers? What kind of work do they perform? When did they perform this work, or stop performing this work? Where are they located? Why their information has changed? How many people do they employ and in what job classifications?
• CWIA also works closely with educators, economic developers, & workforce boards to produce many career exploration materials.
