The Kansas City Chiefs ($88) are the most‐affordable NFL ticket going into the 2012 season, followed by the Detroit Lions ($93) and the Cleveland Browns ($96). Average prices are based on more than 12,000 ticket sold on Ticket Liquidator since Super Bowl XLVI. Due to the nature of the secondary ticket market, ticket prices are subject to change and could currently be higher or lower. The addition of Peyton Manning to the Broncos caused the average price of Broncos tickets to skyrocket almost 70%, from an average of $153 in 2011 to $259 in 2012. But that wasn’t the highest jump in terms of year over year increase, as the St Louis Rams saw a whopping 80% increase from last year, with the average price for a Rams ticket jumping from $69 last season to $124 in 2012. The Seattle Seahawks (59%) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (54%) also saw significant increases. Only two teams saw the average price drop, with tickets for the Detroit Lions dropping 13 percent from an average of $107 in 2011 to $93 in 2012, while the New Orleans Saints, embroiled in a coaching scandal that will cost Head Coach Sean Peyton a season, saw the average price drop 2.25%, or $2, to a $175 average this season.

Hottest Game of the Year? Cleveland at Dallas As far as the hottest individual games of the year go, the most expensive game will be a bit of a surprise to some, as the Cleveland Browns visit to the Dallas Cowboys on November 18 is currently the hottest ticket in the NFL at an average of $457. For those curious about just why, look no further then Browns quarterback Colt McCoy, who led the Texas Longhorns for three years and took the team to the 2010 BCS Championship Game, where he left early in the first quarter with a right shoulder injury. Other big games on the 2012 NFL Schedule include Pittsburgh at Denver ($409), Denver at New England ($372), New York at Dallas ($335) and San Francisco at Green Bay ($303).
