ADULT 40 & OVER LEAGUE TENNIS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION SHEET (Men & Women 3.5 & 4.5+) When:
June 1 – 4, 2018
Where:
Athens, GA (Athens Tennis Center and satellite sites)
Captain’s Conference Call:
Wednesday, May 30th at 8:00 pm (phone # will be emailed to the captains a few days prior and is mandatory for all captains or a representative of the captain)
Captain’s Registration:
Thursday, May 31st from 7:30 pm – 8:00 pm (Athens Tennis Center)
Match Format:
2 Singles, 3 Doubles for both levels
Format of Play:
Round robin, if there is more than one group, group winners and possibly best 2nd’s advance to single elimination playoffs
Play Begins:
Friday, June 1st at 8:00 am
Play Ends:
Most round robin groups will conclude play on Sunday, June 3rd
Playoffs:
Quarterfinals and semi-finals may begin on Sunday, June 3rd for levels with more than four groups. All other semi-finals and/or finals may be scheduled for Monday, June 4th.
Awards:
Champion & Finalist teams will receive awards, with all players covered by the entry fee receiving an award.
Official Ball:
Penn (provided and handed out prior to each match)
Surface:
Hard courts (subject to change with extreme circumstances)
Player Amenities:
State Championship Blended Shirt. (see team info sheet for sizing) Coupon for each registered player for a free lunch at Locos Grill & Pub or Keba Grill
