The Triumphal Entry A DISCIPLE’S JOURNAL: Today we traveled with Jesus to Jerusalem. Jesus told two of His followers to go to the next village. He said that they would find a donkey no one had ever ridden tied there. Jesus said if anyone asked about what they were doing, they should say, “The Lord needs it.” They found the donkey just as Jesus had said. While they were untying it, the donkey’s owners asked what they were doing. Jesus’ followers told them, “The Lord needs the donkey.” They brought the donkey to Jesus. All of us threw our coats on the donkey’s back, and helped Jesus get on it. As Jesus traveled, His followers spread their coats on the road. This was a sign of great honor. We shouted, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace and glory in heaven!” Some of the religious leaders did not agree with our actions and words. Jesus said that if His followers stopped praising Him, the stones would begin to praise Him! Luke 19:28-40
