Add $15 for a faxed or emailed proof of the entire order and $12 for each additional proof. Your entire order (invitations and addressed envelopes) will ship together. However, if you begin your order with only a portion of your addresses, each additional shipment, up until the full quantity of your invitations is ordered, will ship for an additional $15 fee, plus shipping. Additional envelopes (above and beyond the quantity of invitations ordered) will be charged a flat rate of $5 per envelope.

We accept tiff and pdf formats, and we recommend a resolution of 300 dpi for grayscale and at least 600 dpi for black and white. If you are sending a logo with thin lines or fine details, we recommend a resolution of at least 800 dpi.
Should you wish to cancel your order, Checkerboard will bill you only for the work already completed, at a minimum of $40 to cover processing and typesetting costs. For typesetting service in a foreign language using the Roman alphabet and associated accents, add $25 per order. This price includes one proof for your approval.

Certain areas on the invitation have been designed to hold text. Within those areas, you have a lot of control over how text looks, such as your choice of typestyles and type sizes. However, text is limited to the areas where it is currently positioned. Custom quotes are available.

Submit clean and clear artwork at www.checkernet.com/ artwork at no additional charge for thermography when it will be printed in the same ink color and on the same side as the rest of the item. (Otherwise, Second Side Printing or Second Color of Ink charges will apply.) Artwork for thermography should be black & white or grayscale. The clarity of your submitted artwork directly affects the quality of your finished job. We reserve the right to resize your artwork for the best presentation. When using supplied artwork, a proof is highly recommended.

Layering & Paper Changes how to order customized layering
On the order form under “Special Instructions,” list the full name of each layer of your printed piece. important—to avoid confusion: 1. list each of the papers that make up your invitation. 2. list the full name of the papers as listed on the Checkerboard’s selection of papers pages. For example, instead of requesting “Black,” please write “Jet.” 1.
how to price customized layering
Using your selected item, f ind its size category and price code on the pricing page under “Papers.” Use these codes to select the appropriate Price Chart below. For example, the first chart is for invitations of size category a,b,c,k and m as indicated in the far left section of that chart.

Turn to the Checkerboard’s selection of papers pages and find additional or substitute papers you like. Check the layering information to make sure the paper you’ve selected can be used for the layer you would like to add or replace: bottom—this means the paper can be used as a bottom layer. middle—this means the paper can be used as a middle layer. printable—this means the layer can be used as a top layer. Please take note of any printing restrictions. Using the appropriate Layering Price Chart above, you’ll find the price of the layer where the Price Code row meets the Quantities column. For example, when adding a layer of price code 1 to an item of size category b for 100 invitations, add $110 to the price of your order.
to add a layer—add the cost listed for your quantity to the price of your order. to subtract a layer—subtract the cost listed for your quantity from the price of your order. to substitute a layer—add or subtract the difference between the cost of the new layer with the cost of the original layer for your quantity to the price of your order.
Please understand that any design that is preprinted, embossed, foil-stamped or die-cut is available only in the paper as shown. If you replace this paper, you will receive paper without the preprinted, embossed, foil-stamped or die-cut design.
an important note about foldovers: Only certain papers are available as foldovers, in each size. Select from foldovers shown in your size throughout the Checkerboard line.
how to price customized pockets or jackets
When noted on the page, choose from any one of Checkerboard’s top or bottom weight papers to customize the outer pocket or jacket of a design. A flat fee of $50 will apply, along with applicable paper changing charges found above.

Add $15 for a faxed or emailed proof of the entire order and $12 for each additional proof. Your entire order (invitations and addressed envelopes) will ship together. However, if you begin your order with only a portion of your addresses, each additional shipment, up until the full quantity of your invitations is ordered, will ship for an additional $15 fee, plus shipping. Additional envelopes (above and beyond the quantity of invitations ordered) will be charged a flat rate of $5 per envelope.

We accept tiff and pdf formats, and we recommend a resolution of 300 dpi for grayscale and at least 600 dpi for black and white. If you are sending a logo with thin lines or fine details, we recommend a resolution of at least 800 dpi.
Should you wish to cancel your order, Checkerboard will bill you only for the work already completed, at a minimum of $40 to cover processing and typesetting costs. For typesetting service in a foreign language using the Roman alphabet and associated accents, add $25 per order. This price includes one proof for your approval.

Certain areas on the invitation have been designed to hold text. Within those areas, you have a lot of control over how text looks, such as your choice of typestyles and type sizes. However, text is limited to the areas where it is currently positioned. Custom quotes are available.
customer artwork
Submit clean and clear artwork at www.checkernet.com/ artwork at no additional charge for thermography when it will be printed in the same ink color and on the same side as the rest of the item. (Otherwise, Second Side Printing or Second Color of Ink charges will apply.) Artwork for thermography should be black & white or grayscale. The clarity of your submitted artwork directly affects the quality of your finished job. We reserve the right to resize your artwork for the best presentation. When using supplied artwork, a proof is highly recommended.

On the order form under “Special Instructions,” list the full name of each layer of your printed piece. important—to avoid confusion: 1. list each of the papers that make up your invitation. 2. list the full name of the papers as listed on the Checkerboard’s selection of papers pages. For example, instead of requesting “Black,” please write “Jet.” 1.

Check the layering information to make sure the paper you’ve selected can be used for the layer you would like to add or replace: bottom—this means the paper can be used as a bottom layer. middle—this means the paper can be used as a middle layer. printable—this means the layer can be used as a top layer. Please take note of any printing restrictions. Using the appropriate Layering Price Chart above, you’ll find the price of the layer where the Price Code row meets the Quantities column. For example, when adding a layer of price code 1 to an item of size category b for 100 invitations, add $110 to the price of your order.

how to price customized pockets or jackets
When noted on the page, choose from any one of Checkerboard’s top or bottom weight papers to customize the outer pocket or jacket of a design. A flat fee of $50 will apply, along with applicable paper changing charges found above.
