Parent Information Mission Statement – FBC KIDS The mission of FBC KIDS is to teach our children how to love God and love people. As we partner alongside parents, our goal is to help children better understand God’s Word and His message of salvation. We want our children to see how the entire Bible points to Christ and the gospel. We also want them to learn how they can worship and serve Christ in order to make Him known throughout their community, nation, and world. As a part of FBC Martin, we want our kids to learn from an early age how to live the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-39) and fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

What Is Camp 1031? Camp 1031 is a 1-Week Day Camp for our K-5th Graders. God has given all of us different gifts, talents, and interests, and He expects us to use them for His glory. We hope to teach our campers how to use their gifts and talents so that they can better serve God. Camp 1031 offers a variety of athletic, creative thinking, and educational camps.

Lunch/Snacks Lunch will be at 12:00 each day for our Full Day campers. Campers will need to bring a sack lunch. Lunches will need to be placed in the designated spot in the lobby upon arrival each morning. Please note that we will not have the capability to warm up lunches. Please be sure to send a prepared lunch each day. If your child forgets to bring lunch, a lunch will be provided. You will be charged $3.00 for the lunch. Payment is due at pickup. A small snack will be provided during both the morning (9:45) and afternoon (2:45) camps. Campers may bring personal water bottles for the sports camps. Please make sure your child’s name is written on the water bottle.

Dress Attire Campers need to dress comfortably and appropriately for the camps they are attending. Campers should wear finger-tip length shorts and t-shirts. Please do not send your child in flip flops or sandals. The activities planned require campers to wear tennis shoes every day.

Drop-off and Pick-up Drop-off begins at 7:45 each morning at the north entrance of the church (near the big cross). Camp will begin at 8:00, and the doors will be locked at 8:30. If you need to drop-off late, please call the church office or let us know beforehand so that we can be aware of your child’s arrival. Afternoon drop-off will be at 12:45 at the north entrance of the church. Afternoon camps begin at 1:00, and the doors will be locked at 1:30. Please do your best to be on time each day. Your child will miss out on some camp activities if he or she arrives late. For our Half Day Morning campers, pick-up begins at 11:50 at the East Entrance Awning (City Hall side). You will need to have your child picked up by 12:15 each day. Pick-up after 12:15 will result in a late charge of $1.00 per minute you are late. Payment is due at pick-up. Afternoon pick-up will start at 4:50 and end at 5:15 at the East Entrance Awning each day. Pick-up after 5:15 will result in a late charge of $1.00 per minute you are late. Payment is due at pick-up. If you need to pick your child up early, please send a note or call the church office so that we can have them ready upon your arrival.

Behavior Policy Campers are expected to behave appropriately, exhibiting a Christ-like attitude. If a child becomes overly disruptive, they will be asked to sit out part of their camp time. If the disruptive behavior continues, the child will be removed from the group and sent to the Associate Pastor of Children. If needed, a parent may be called to help with the situation. If the behavior does not improve, the child will be sent home. If the problems persist later in the week, the child will not be able to attend camp for the rest of the week. In cases of physical assault, the child will be sent home immediately and not allowed to return to camp the next day. No refunds will be granted in these situations.

Track Times Track Times are on a first come, first serve basis. There is a limit on the number of participants for each Track and the time(s) it is offered during the day. If a Track Time is full, your camper will be put on a waiting list, and you will be contacted with the ability to change their Track Time. While most Tracks are offered all day, some Tracks are only offered twice during the day. If needed, additional time slots will be added for Tracks, should the waiting list warrant an addition. If another time slot opens up for a Track you signed up for, you will be contacted with the possibility of adding that Track to your child’s schedule.
