PARK OPERATIONS TEAM Position:

SEASONAL PARK SECURITY

Role:

As a member of the Park Operations department you will join a dedicated team whose main focus is on delivering the very best in service by providing an efficient and professional security service to the Park, its staff and Guests. As part of the Guest Welcome Team you will always ensure a family friendly, assurance driven, proactive approach with the Guest at the heart. Your main role will be to welcome, assist, and ensure we are attentive to our Guests at all times whilst protecting our premises, assets and staff. You will act as an ambassador for the Park at all times, proactively supporting procedures and consistently demonstrating Company values. Park Security will form part of the first team that our Guests will have contact with and it is essential that the right first impression is made from the outset. The ‘right image’ is paramount at all times, your presentation, personality and attitude must reflect that in all the tasks that you undertake.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

Provide a professional, efficient and approachable security service maintaining a high level of customer service to staff and Guests at all times



Carry out patrols and building checks, day and night to ensure a safe and secure environment, reporting back and recording maintenance issues, potential breaches of security or unusual occurrences.



To provide all Guests with helpful advice, guidance and information from queries they may have regarding Park entry or if they require any general Park information. If the answer is not known, assisting further by calling another Team Member or member of the Management Team or redirecting the Guest to Guest Information.



Observe for signs of crime or disorder, investigate reports and disturbances. Deterring anti-social behavior, theft and criminal activity.



As led by the Duty Manager provide support in an emergency or evacuation situation, in a calm and professional manner. Actively provide information to any emergency services when requested to do so.



Ensure that those who should not be granted access to the Park are professionally and politely prevented from gaining access or escorted from the Park.



Take control of difficult situations using calming techniques to reduce impact of situations.



Complete good housekeeping checks to ensure that fire / emergency exit doors and routes are maintained free of obstructions, reporting back any defects or maintenance issues as appropriate.



Respond immediately to alarm system activations to check designated areas of concern. Effectively notify the Duty Manager, staff and Guests of

situation and actions required of them. Reset alarms in instances of false activation. As required ensure that the CCTV system is professionally, effectively and sensitively monitored in compliance with the Park’s agreed standards. Carry out Park Lock Up reporting back to Lock Up Manager. At Guest Welcome ensure: 1. Against fraudulent entry to the Park. 2. Effective management of the Park exit and pass outs to ensure correct entry procedures are followed at all times. 3. Actively manage queues. 4. Guests with any queries regarding either entry or General Park information are assisted to an outstanding level. As Retail Security: 1. Ensure theft prevention 2. Ensure a high visibility presence during peak retail operations with regular floor walks 3. Ensure sound support to the Retail team following up on any reported incidents of theft. Complete relevant records and log books, in a professional manner providing sufficient detail. Ensure immediate completion of written records, statements and reports following any incidents or security occurrences. During Park opening times respond to requests for assistance from the Duty Manager, Park Operations Management Team, other members of staff and management. Where necessary assist in removing or escorting members of the public from the Park where their behavior is disruptive or presents a risk to others. Enforce all Park rules and policies as outlined in the Parks terms & conditions such as Smoking and Dress code. Fully support and comply with the Park’s Fire, Health and Safety and Security policies and procedures. Provide support to the nursing staff, help with locating incidents, transportation and assist with emergencies (only if qualified First aider with the Company). Be ready to undertake first aid training and be able to provide first aid services to all staff and Guests as requested. Deal with any suspicious packages / items, maintaining own and others safety and dealing with these in accordance to procedures. Liaise with Police, contractors, neighbours, local business as required.

This is a seasonal position which includes weekends, school and bank holidays. You will be provided with a uniform including polo shirt, jumper, trousers, coat, Hours will vary dependent on the time of year and flexibility is required to name badge, padlock & keys. In addition any items you are expected to supply should be smart and appropriate. Team Expectations: As a representative of the Park Operations team specifically and the company as a whole we expect you to be presentable at all times with the right ‘can-do’ attitude in order to deliver excellence. A good level of ability and understanding is required for training along with sound numeracy and literacy skills. You must be able to put our guests first and deliver an outstanding level of service by interacting to high level and using passing pleasantries as you go about your duties. You will need to be able to communicate confidently and assertively along with the ability to deal with challenging situations with the capacity to listen to feedback, remain calm under pressure and take decisive action. Holding an SIA License in an appropriate sector would be advantageous along with a full clean UK driving license. You will need the ability to understand and implement instructions, work co-operatively and flexibly with colleagues and management and to understand their role within the team. The capacity to deliver good results within agreed timeframe and inspire others to focus on achieving good results and targets. Able to build effective team relationships and actively contribute to the team. Must be able to adapt to and work effectively in different situations and carry out a variety of tasks with the capacity to cope with challenging situations, listen to feedback, remain calm under pressure and take decisive action. A good knowledge and understanding of looking after customers and ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded. A disposition to share fully and willingly information, knowledge and skills in the interest of self, team and business development. Hardworking and enthusiastic attitude is required for this fast paced hands on role. The role will quite likely involve working both indoors and outdoors in varying climates.
