Add a dash of 80s-inspired rock to your outfit with these stylish wristlets. Crocheted in Caron's Simply Soft Party.

Abbreviations Beg = beginning Ch(s) = Chain(s)

hdc = half double crochet rnd(s) = round(s)

Sl st = Slip stitch sp(s) = space(s)

Details & Instructions MEASUREMENTS Approx 6"/18cm circumference (at wrist) x 5"/12.5cm long, unstretched. Note: Gloves stretch to fit a range of sizes.

MATERIALS Simply Soft Party Main Color (MC) ()

One size US H-8 (5mm) crochet hook, or size to obtain gauge. Stitch marker, yarn needle.

GAUGE

In hdc, 20 sts and 13 rows = 4"/10cm

INSTRUCTIONS WRISTLETS (make 2) Ch 30; taking care not to twist ch, join with sl st in first ch to form a ring. Rnd 1: Ch 2 (counts as first hdc here and throughout), hdc in each ch around; join with sl st in top of beg ch—30 hdc. Rnds 2–5: Ch 2, working in back loops only, hdc in each hdc around; join with sl st in top of beg ch. Note: Work now proceeds in continuous rnds, do not join at end of rnds. Place a marker in first ch-3 sp to indicate beg of rnd and move marker up as each rnd is completed. Rnd 6: Ch 3, *sk next hdc, sc in next hdc, ch 3; rep from * around; do not join, sl st in first 2 ch of first ch-3 sp. Rnds 7–12: *Ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp; rep from * around. Thumb Opening: Rnd 13: [Ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp] twice, ch 4 (for thumb opening), sk next 3 ch-3 sp, *sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 3; rep from * all the way around to ch-4 sp (thumb opening), sc in first 2 ch of ch-4 sp, sl st in next ch. Rnds 14 and 15: Rep Rnd 7, ending last rnd at thumb opening. Fasten off. Finishing: Using yarn needle, weave in all ends.
