Have fun stitching out these “Quilty Quotes” and “Sewing Sayings”. You can stitch out a patch to use on your quilting or sewing gear or try creating a pincushion using the “Create a Pincushion” base and ring available thru Clover. The patches and pincushions make great gifts for friends, retreats, and quilting guilds. Please read thru the entire instructions completely before starting. You can find tips for successful stitching on page 2. Instructions on how to make a patch start on page 3. The instructions on how to make the pincushions start on page 6. Thank you for purchasing this Lunch Box Quilts embroidery design collection. Happy Stitching!

Tips for Successful Stitching 1. Use a heavier weight fabric such as a denim or twill. This will make your patch stiffer and lay flatter when it is completed. The samples on the cover were stitched on Crossroads Denim by James Thompson. 2. Pre-wash all of your fabric before stitching 3. Use a sharp 80/12 embroidery needle 4. Thread colors shown in the stitch sequence charts are based on Isacord 40wt polyester color charts 5. Use white or a neutral thread color in your bobbin, except for step 3 of the patches in the stitch sequence chart. Step 3 is the finished edge of the patch. You should match the bobbin thread to the top thread, so you edge is one color all the way around the edge of the patch.
