INTRODUCTION This guide will show you how to patch a small hole in dirt bike fuel tank.

Step 1 — Patching a 125 2 stroke fuel tank
First, you will need to sand down the rough edges around the hole in fuel tank.
Make sure the hole in the fuel tank and its surrounding is as smooth as possible.
Once the hole is smooth. Apply fuel patch with q-tip over hole and the surrounding edges.

Make sure that the ointment is spread thickly over the hole.
Avoid having air pockets in the ointment. Air pockets may make the patch less effective or not seal at all.

Once the ointment is spread over smoothly, you will need to rub the edges out so there is no edge that can be caught on something.

Let the patch dry over.
Try not to touch patch until completely dry. This may take a couple hours.

Next, you will need to check the patch after completely dry. Make sure there is no bubbles or edges where there could be another potential leak.

Once patch is dry put fuel in the tank.

When tank is full check to see if there are any leaks in the patch. Leaks consist of fuel dripping or even air leak from patch.
Step 10
If there are leaks scrape off patch and repeat process.

When there are no leaks start riding. Your tank is now patched. Check up on patch after ride to make sure it is still sealed.
