“Making Worship More Multisensory” Dr. Eric Elnes

Friday, June 8, 10am -3pm Suquehanna University Eric Elnes, PhD, is Senior Pastor of Countryside Community United Church of Christ, Omaha, Nebraska. He earned both his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies and his M. Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary. Dr. Elnes is internationally recognized for creating multi-sensory, experiential worship that transcends classification as “traditional” or “contemporary.”

12noon Lunch in the dining hall In this seminar we’ll move through the five senses with an eye to 1pm Session II how each may be more fully engaged in worship. Dr. Elnes will provide plenty of examples and solicit feedback. Strategies will 2:30pm-3pm Wrap-Up and Closing be discussed for moving worship into a more “Incarnational” mode within the context of resistant congregations. Dr. Elnes will also share how a number of small churches are leading the way with vibrant worship and ministry. Church rate for three people = $100. Churches that lead significantly draw upon the gifts of lay people so we encourage not only pastors but lay leaders involved in worship committees and other revitalization efforts to attend this seminar on worship.
