Finished pillowcase: 30×20" (fits a standard-size bed pillow) Yardages and cutting instructions are based on 42" of usable fabric width. Measurements include 1 ⁄ 2" seam allowances for pillowcase construction. Sew with right sides together unless otherwise specified.

Cut Fabrics

To cut out feather appliqués using the AccuQuilt Go! cutter, complete the following steps. 1. Place fusible web, paper side

up, on wrong side of designated fabrics and press according to manufacturer’s instructions; let cool. 2. Following AccuQuilt Go! fabric

cutter instructions, use die #55008 to cut out the number of feathers in shapes indicated in cutting instructions. Peel paper backing. To cut out feather appliqués with scissors, complete the following steps. 1. Place fusible web, paper side

⁄ 2" between tracings. Cut out shapes roughly 1 ⁄4" outside drawn lines. 1

instructions, press fusible-web shapes onto wrong sides of designated fabrics; let cool. Cut out fabric pieces on drawn lines. Peel off paper backings. From assorted appliqué prints, cut: • 19 each of patterns A and A reversed • 12 of Pattern B From band print, cut: • 2—6×41" strips From body print, cut: • 1—26×41" rectangle

Appliqué Band

Assemble Pillowcase 1. Fold body print 26×41"

rectangle in half crosswise to form a 26×201 ⁄ 2" rectangle. Sew together long edges and one pair of short edges to make pillowcase body. Turn right side out and press flat. 2. Referring to Diagram 1, slide

pillowcase band over pillowcase body, match raw edges, and pin. Sew together through all layers. 3. Press pillowcase band

open, pressing seam toward pillowcase body. Topstitch 1 ⁄ 8" from band edge on pillowcase body to secure the seam allowances and complete pillowcase (Diagram 2).

Diagram, arrange all feather appliqués atop a print 6×41" strip at least 1 ⁄ 2" from all edges. Fuse in place following manufacturer’s instructions. 2. Place tear-away stabilizer

beneath fused strip. Using matching thread and a small zigzag stitch, stitch around feather appliqués to make an appliquéd strip. Press appliquéd strip from wrong side.

Assemble Band

1. Sew together appliquéd strip

and remaining band print 6×41" strip along a pair of long edges. 2. Join short ends of Step 1 unit to

make a loop. Press seam open. Fold loop in half with wrong side inside; press to make pillowcase band.
