Additional Materials: 44” x 54” Backing, 44” x 54” Batting, Threads to match, Straight Pins, Scissors, Acrylic Ruler, Rotary Cutter, and Mat.

Directions 1. For top and bottom row - make two rows each with eight 5 1/2” pinwheel blocks. For one block, place one CX3534 Red right sides together with one CX3662 Orange square. Draw a diagonal line from one corner to the opposite corner. Stitch 1/4” on each side of the line. Cut apart on the drawn line. Repeat using DC3811 square and CX1087 square. Sew for units together into one pinwheel block as shown. Trim each finished block to an accurate 5 1/2” square. Make sixteen blocks total. Piece together two rows. Set aside. 2. Sew one 2 1/2” CX3534 Orange square to each corner of one CX4371 6 1/2” square. Sew the seam diagonally on the CX3534 Orange square. Press corners. Trim away excess from the back. Repeat for five blocks total. For row begin and end with CX3534 Orange 2 1/2” x 6 1/2” pieces. Alternate blocks with remaining CX3534 Orange 2” x 6 1/2” pieces. Set finished row aside. 3. Sew one CX3662 Espresso 2 1/2” piece to the top and bottom of one DC3897 2 1/2” square. Sew one CX3662 Espresso 4 1/2” piece to each side of the unit. Make fourteen blocks total. Begin and end with a block. Sew seven blocks together alternating with DC3811 2 1/2” pieces. Make two rows of seven blocks. Set aside. 4. To assemble quilt : From the top sew one DC3807 1 1/2” strip to the bottom of one pinwheel block row. Add 6 1/2” CX4371 block row. Add DC3807 1 1/2” strip next. Add one 4 1/2” pieced square row. Add

CX3534 Red 2 1/2” strip. Add CX4370 20 1/2” panel. Add remaining 4 1/2” pieced square row. Next add DC3807 2 1/2” strip. Finish with remaining pinwheel row. 5. Layer backing, batting, and quilt top. Baste. 6. Quilt as desired. 7. Piece DC3803 - Orange as needed for binding. Bind quilt to finish.
