Road Maintenance and Preservation (MaP) 

In 2017, Road MaP Program kicked off investing $2.1 billion in maintenance and highway and bridge capital projects over the next 10 years. 

$500M towards interstate preservation and reconstruction program.

$600M towards rehabilitation and reconstruction needs.

A legislative action in 2016 capped expenditures from the Motor License Fund going toward the State Police budget.

Secondary Road Improvement Program 

Secondary Road Improvement Program Philosophy 

Delineate appropriate approaches to focus specific funding sources on secondary road improvements utilizing the appropriate low cost treatments to impact as much of the network as possible while respecting that standard project delivery processes will typically focus on higher volume networks.

Secondary Road Improvement Program – Roadway Criteria 

Up to 3,000 ADT and up to 300 trucks 1.

2.

Flexible Base Paving (FB)

3.

High RAP Binder Overlay

3,000 to 5,000 ADT and up to 750 trucks 1.

High RAP Warm Mix Asphalt

2.

Traditional Warm Mix Asphalt
