Pecan Strawberry Dessert

ME Recipe: Pecan-Crusted Strawberry Desert Ingredients:   • • • • • • • • •

12  ounce  Pecans-­‐broken  into  pieces     1  Stick  Butter   ½  cup  Xylitol   Kosher  Salt   8  ounce  1/3  less  fat  Philadelphia  Cream  Cheese   2  Cups  Strawberries,  chopped   2  -­‐  .3  ounce  packages  of  Sugar  Free  Jell-­‐O   1Teaspoon  Vanilla  Extract   8  Ounce  Whipped  Cream    

Directions:   Boil  2  Cups  water  and  make  Jell-­‐O,  set  aside  to  cool;  add  chopped  strawberries  when  jelled.   Melt  butter,  pour  and  mix  with  pecans.    Sprinkle  with  Kosher  salt.    Spread  in  baking  pan   and  bake  at  400  degrees  for  about15  minutes.    Place  in  fridge/freezer  to  cool.   Mix  cream  cheese,  vanilla  and  whipped  cream.    Spread  over  pecans  when  they  are  cooled.     Top  with  strawberry  and  Jell-­‐O  mixture  and  refrigerate.    Enjoy  as  a  great  summer  desert   treat!
