Day 8- Wednesday, Aug 29: This morning we will ascend the Temple Mount where the Jewish Temple once stood and where Jesus taught many times. We will then walk stop at the Pool of Bethesda and then to the Pretorium where Jesus was judged by Pilate and beaten by the Roman Soldiers. From there we step out onto the Via Delarosa, the path where Jesus was led to Calvary, and make our way to the Western Wall where we will spend time in prayer. Day 9- Thursday, Aug 30: Our first stop will be the fascinating City of David the site of very recent archeological digs. From there we enter Zion’s Gate to the Cardo, then by David’s Citadel and through Jaffa Gate to board our bus for the Holocaust Memorial, Yad VaShem. Afterwards, we will go to the Israeli Museum home of the Model City and the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed. From there to our hotel, a nice dinner and a time to relax. Day 10- Friday, Aug 31: After breakfast we travel to the view Bethlehem, the Shepherd’s fields where the Angels proclaimed the birth of Jesus to the lowly shepherds tending their sheep. We then go to the Promenade to capture a spectacular view of the Old City. We will take a group photo and enjoy the panorama seen by David and the prophets of old from this very site. Our final stop will be the Garden Tomb for communion followed by a farewell dinner before making our way to Ben Gurion Airport and the flight home.
