NASHVILLE STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION PIEDMONT NATURAL GAS SCHOLARSHIP

The Piedmont Natural Gas Scholarship is made possible by contributions from Piedmont Natural Gas. This scholarship supports students who have chosen to pursue a Technical Certificate or an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts and have demonstrated leadership qualities in the classroom as well as the community. Recipients are awarded $500 each year. Scholarship Criteria: •

Student must be pursuing a Technical Certificate or an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts at NSCC.



Student must have completed at least one semester at NSCC with a maximum of six credit hours earned.



The Coordinator of Culinary Arts must verify that the applicant has completed ten or more hours of community service related to culinary arts through a charitable or professional non-profit organization.

Recipients will be selected based on recommendations from the Culinary Arts Faculty. Applicable maintenance fee / tuition refunds will be credited to the scholarship except in cases when the student is also receiving federal Title IV benefits and totally withdraws. In such cases, the refund is credited back to the appropriate program (s) according to the NSCC “Return of Title IV Funds” Policy.
