Piggy Bank Pageant 2018 Instructions & Guidelines Thank you for your interest in the Piggy Bank Pageant in celebration of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Steuben County’s collaboration in America Saves Week! The event emphasizes the importance of saving money and is a fun and free opportunity to market your 4-H Club. To participate:
Fill out an entry card and pick up a piggy bank at the CCE-Steuben office at 3 East Pulteney Square, Bath, NY (Steuben County Office Building) M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Return decorated bank by February 20 at 4:00 pm at CCE-Steuben office. Piggy Banks will be making a “media tour” to promote America Saves Week. They will be on display in the County Office Building the week of Feb. 26th during America Saves Week. Some of them may even make a TV appearance on WETM on February 25th.
Banks must be picked up by March 9 and become the property of the 4-H Club.
Winner will be determined by a combination of online and live voting. Online voting begins February 26 and will end on March 2 at 9:00 pm. Vote on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ ccesteuben/. Votes will be tabulated by likes given to each photo. Live voting will take place at the display in the Steuben County Office Building from February 26-Mar 2, 2018 during office hours. Encourage friends, clients etc. to vote. Winners will be announced March 5, 2018. Prizes are being donated by ServU Credit Union. GUIDELINES:
Only one bank per 4-H Club. Limited number of banks available, first come first serve. Decorate the bank or small display encouraging savings. Displays must measure less than 12x12x12 inches. Be creative! Showcase your 4-H Club or the importance of saving money. Use any materials and supplies to decorate your bank. Piggy banks must be claimed no later than 4:00 pm by March 9 at the CCE-Steuben Office. CCE-Steuben will not be held responsible for lost, broken or unclaimed banks. If you adopt a bank and cannot decorate it, please return it ASAP so others may participate. Only a limited number of entries are offered. Winners will receive prizes donated by Serve U Credit Union.

Bring your decorated bank back to CCE-Steuben by Feb. 20 and voting will begin during America Saves Week.
