55-HOUR WEEKEND CLOSURES/PILE DRIVING ACTIVITIES WHAT The contractor will conduct construction weekend activities, including pile driving, at the intersection of Wilmington Avenue and E. 223rd Street. The piles will provide the structural support necessary for the widening of Wilmington Avenue, between 220th Street and 223rd Street. This work will necessitate two non-consecutive 55-hour weekend intersection closures at Wilmington Avenue and 223rd Street. (See map below for intersection closure and alternate detours). Detour signs will be posted.

2nd 55-Hour Weekend Closure/Pile Driving Friday, June 3rd thru Monday, June 6th, 2016* 9 p.m. thru 6 a.m. (55-hour continuous closure)

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING ACTIVITIES .
Noise/Vibration: You may experience noise and vibrations from the pile driving, back-up alarms, work crews and other construction related equipment and activities. As a precaution, we recommend that you secure any breakable items. Flagmen: Flaggers will be onsite when necessary to allow access to traffic. Access: Local business and resident access will be maintained at all times. Dust Mitigation: Water trucks will be used to minimize dust. Use caution when driving through construction zones.
